Research interests
An experienced Geographical Information Systems specialist with 22+ years’ service working in inter-disciplinary research across social, natural, and computational sciences. Accomplished data analyst with a track record in processing and integrating national level spatial and non-spatial land use, land cover, and land ownership datasets to address policy questions in domaina including agriculture, forestry, climate change, and land reform as part of the Land Systems team. Works at the science-policy interface providing additional analytical capacity to in-house policy analysts within RESAS often in the form of confidential advice to ministers. Recent challenges have included directly supporting the Land Reform Bill Team as the current Land Reform (Scotland) Act 2025 progressed through parliament.
