Research interests

My current work is focused on (i) understanding how drivers of change affect insect diversity, (ii) adaptation and resilience (of trees and their associated communities), (iii) pollination and food security, and (3) conservation genetics of rare woodland insects. I have published over 30 papers in peer reviewed journals, 4 as first author (h-index = 17). In addition, I have produced over 45 contract reports, book chapters and other publications for a range of Government and non-governmental organisations. My outreach activities include podcasts, video and radio interviews, and >70 public talks, events, training courses and guided walks. I regularly referee papers for a range of high-impact journals and supervise postgraduate and undergraduate students.
